Mildred (Tillie) Goman Alberga Currier, of Roxboro died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021 at Person Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Clifford Julian Alberga and Mildred Leah Goman Alberga. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James (Jimmy) Thomas Currier and her sister, Nancy A. Williams. Mrs. Currier was a member of Roxboro Baptist Church.
Surviving are her four sons: Robert (Bobby) Bruce Currier and wife, Gaye of Hendersonville, Roger (Skeeta) Andrew Currier and wife, Rhonda of Timberlake, Michael Raymond Currier and wife, Melissa of Timberlake and James Clifford Currier, of the home; one daughter, Mary Helen Williams and husband, David of Chapel Hill; 14 grandchildren: Rob and wife, Kelli, Jennifer Currier (Sam Bryant), Corey and husband, Theo Veil, Rachel and husband, Tyler Blizzard, Leah Currier, Austin Currier, Bryson and husband, Grant Jordan, Brooke Currier, Collin, Cooper, Colson Williams, Madeline Henderson (Bryce), Brannon Erdner and Sophie Erdner; five great-grandchildren: Roe, Ruby, Eckerson Blizzard, Micah and Paul Veil.
Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2021 at the Roxboro Baptist Church with the Dr. DuPre Sanders officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (1-2 p.m.).
