TIMBERLAKE – Thomas Elliott “Tony” Long, 81, of 1535 Clay Long Road, Timberlake, died Wednesday, January 8, 2020. Born in Person County, Mr. Long was the son of the late Ledford E. and Eula Clayton Long. Mr. Long was a veteran of the U.S. Army and he retired from IBM. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
Mr. Long is survived by his wife, Dolly Clayton Long; two sons, Todd C. Long and wife Sandra and Jason T. Long and wife Rebekha, all of Roxboro; two brothers, Parris Long and wife Judy, of Jacksonville, Fla. and Lynn F. Long and wife Betty Jean, of Roxboro; one sister, Diane L. Russell and husband Rocky, of Atlantic Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren, Lukas Caleb Long, Matthew Dylan Long, Sara Elisabeth Long and Joseph Jordan Gonzalez.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Donald Daniel. Visitation will be held 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at the Brooks & White Funeral Home.
