  • The Person County Library, will host a reading and book signing featuring former News & Observer political columnist Rob Christensen, who will read from his new book, The Rise & Fall of the Branchhead Boys at 6:30 p.m., June 13.
  • Memory Lane Cruisers, will host a cruise-in at 6 p.m., June 14 at Roxboro Square.
  • The Sappony 5K Run/Walk, will be held at 7 a.m., June 15 at Mayo Lake.
  • The Person County Museum of History, will host a tour of the historic Mount Tirzah home of Revolutionary War Gen. Stephen Moore at 5:30 p.m., June 27. Tickets are $5 for museum members and $10 for non-members. Proceeds from the event support museum programming. The home is at 4319 Surl-Mount Tirzah Road, Timberlake.   • The Rox ‘n Roll Cruise-in, will be held June 21 in Uptown Roxboro from 6 – 8:30 p.m. The event is free.

  • The American Red Cross, will sponsor the following blood drives during the month of June.

  • Central Children’s Home in Oxford, will host a day of celebration beginning at 11 a.m., June 15. Several area singing groups will perform gospel music beginning at 1:30 p.m. The campus is at 211 W. Antioch Drive, Oxford.
