Staff recruits students for Camp Oak Hill leadership training camp

Camp Oak Hill Leadership Training Camp is a retreat in Granville County that helps with leadership skills. Person High School staff members Prentice Hargrove and Dolli Bradford are heading this camp, and they’re looking for 50 Person High School (PHS) student participants.

This will be an overnight trip that will take place April 12-13, and costs $95. The camp is meant to help students work on team building, critical thinking, and goal setting. Activities during the camp include skits, dancing, teacher involvement, learning leadership skills, arts and crafts and a lot more.

Hargrove has been taking students to this camp for the last five times and he says his experience has been enjoyable.

“The students were apprehensive at first, but once they saw the environment, they warmed up to it and had a good time,” Hargrove said on his past experiences.

Any student who wants to participate are encouraged to do so and must turn in an application.
