Monday evening Roxboro police officers responded to the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver at 315 South St.
According to police reports, the suspects brandished a firearm causing the delivery driver to drop the pizza and flee the area.
Officers searched the general vicinity and located the two suspects in a nearby field. The suspects were not armed at the time of the arrest.
No one was injured.
The two suspects were charged as juveniles.
Traffic stop leads to arrest on stolen firearm
Tuesday morning a stolen firearm was found after a traffic stop.
According to the Person County Sheriff’s Office, Troy Snead, 35, 2976 Oxford Road, Roxboro, was stopped near Oxford Road and Jimmy’s Corner Store for driving with a revoked license.
During the traffic stop, Snead informed a deputy that he had a firearm in the vehicle.
The .40 caliber semi automatic came back stolen after deputies ran the gun’s serial number through a computer database.
According to the report, Snead claims the firearm was purchased from someone else.
Snead was charged with one count of possession of a stolen firearm.
He was being held in the Person County Jail and has since posted bond.
According to the Roxboro Police Department, officers responded to a reported break-in Tuesday morning on Park Street.
The victim reported that someone had entered into his residence through a window and stolen a Xbox One, games and accessories.
This incident remains under investigation.
