Pearl Elizabeth Irvin


Mrs. Pearl Elizabeth Irvin, born May 10, 1930 to the late Percy and Pearl Bumpass Womack, departed this life and entered into eternal rest Wednesday, June 30, 2021 in Hock Family Pavilion in Durham. She was born in Person County and a member of Zion Level Baptist Church in Semora.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Forest Irvin; three brothers and three sisters.

She leaves to cherish precious memories four children: Oveater Irvin Street of Augusta, Ga., Annie Irvin Collins (Ulysses) of Raleigh, Barbara Irvin-Alston of Zebulon and Veronica I. Clay (Reginald) of Semora; three grandchildren: Jason Alston (Lajuan Carpenter), also of Zebulon, Megan Clay of Asheville, and Kayla Clay of Graham; two great-grandchildren: Amelia Alston and Amaya Alston, both of Zebulon; four sisters: Estella Myers of Roxboro, Carolyn Brandon of Alton, Va., Lola Garland (Richard) and Gracie Farmer (James), both of Roxboro; special friend Stella O’Briant of Timberlake; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
