Mrs. Pauline Paylor Crawley, age 73, of 190 Colonial Estates Road, departed this life Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019 in Duke University Medical Center in Durham. She was a native of Person County and a member of Old Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Johnna Stephens Paylor.
She is survived by her husband, James L. Crawley Sr. of the home; four children, Wanda Crawley Webster (Albert) of South Boston, Virginia, Monica Crawley of the home, Daphine Crawley of Mebane, and James Junior Crawley, also of the home; two grandchildren, Ashleigh Crawley of Semora and Marcus Crawley of the home; two sisters, JoAnn Paylor and Louise Paylor Crawley (Roland), both of Roxboro; four brothers, Elijah Paylor, Thomas Paylor (Shirley), Wayne Paylor (Ann) and Wallace Paylor, all of Roxboro; and a host of other additional relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Old Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1111 Oak Grove Mt. Zion Road, Roxboro, NC with the Rev. Clyde A. Glass, pastor, officiating and providing the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. with the family present during the last hour from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
At other times, the family will receive visitors at the home.
The body will lie in state in the church for 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.
