Nettie Clayton Wrenn, 96, of Roxboro, died Monday, April 8, 2019 at her home. Born in Person County, Mrs. Wrenn was the daughter of the late Andrew Solomon and Nola Cozart Clayton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Wallace Wrenn; two brothers, Raymond Thomas Clayton and Dameron Clayton; four sisters: Eula C. Long, Ruby C. Horton, Alma C. Sparks and Janie C. Pecarina; one grandson, Curtis Wayne Wrenn.
Mrs. Wrenn retired from Rose’s Department Store in 1991 and later worked in the Senior Citizens fitness room. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Wrenn is survived by two sons: John Randolph “Randy” Wrenn (Rose) of Raleigh and Bruce Victor Wrenn (Joanie) of Henderson; one sister, Myrtice C. Clayton, of Charlotte; two grandsons: David Bruce Wrenn (Maryann) and Cameron Andrew Wrenn; one great-grandchild, Brayden Wallace Wrenn; and her caregivers: Patricia Clayton and Nancy Meeler.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at the Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. Darcy J. Knight and Rev. Ross Thompson. Burial will follow in Burchwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Brooks & White Chapel prior to the service.
