Sarah Malishchak and Joseph Nelson Kirby III were married October 20, 2018 in a double-ring ceremony in Chapel Hill.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride is the daughter of Monica and John Malishchak of Chapel Hill. The groom is the son of Joey and Lynne Kirby of Roxboro. He is the grandson of Marion and Roger Oakley and the late Dot and Nelson Kirby.
Lauren Malishchak, of Boston, Mass., served as Matron of Honor. The Maid of Honor was Morgan Malishchak of Chapel Hill.
Bridesmaids were Ashley Redmond, of Hunlock Creek, Pa.; Katie Toy, of Raleigh; Kristen Eisemann of Baltimore, Md.; Monica Toller, of Raleigh; and Kali Ricardo of Makaha, Hawaii.
Sydney Sporleder was the flower girl.
Joey Kirby served as his son’s Best Man. Groomsmen were Andrew Rogers, of Charlotte; Vince Pareja, of Durham; Tom Wade, of Wilmington; Will Davis, of Chapel Hill; Dalton Rich, of Durham; and Thomas Duncan, of Wilmington.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Weathervane Restaurant.
The bride is a graduate of Creighton University. She is employed in the Cardiac ICU at Duke University Hospital in Durham. The groom is a graduate of N.C. State University and Liberty University. He is employed at the Association of International Certified Public Accountants in Durham.
Following a wedding trip to Los Cabos, Mexico, the couple resides in Roxboro.
