Library to offer soil testing workshop


From 4:30 –5:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, Horticulture Extension Agent Johnny Coley will present a free workshop titled “Soil Testing: How and Why,” at the Person County Public Library.

Coley will discuss the importance of soil tests, how to properly test soil and how to interpret the results. The talk will be followed by a short demonstration in the library’s teaching garden. No registration is required.

Before the program, attendees may check out free open-pollinated and heirloom seeds from the Person County Seed Library.
