Library is a technology resource

The Person County Public Library is offering a Computer Basics class later this month. This two-session class is for adults with limited or no computer experience. Students will gain hands-on experience with the mouse and keyboard, Windows 10 and the Internet. They will also learn about free learning resources available to them.

The two-day class will be held Jan. 24 and Jan. 31, 9:30-11 a.m. Students will attend both sessions. Registration is required. To register, call 336-597-7881 or visit the library.

For those who got a new electronic device this Christmas, the library offers a host of free online resources. A library card gives patrons free access to thousands of digital titles and resources, including ebooks, digital audiobooks, literacy-building ebooks for kids, digital magazines, streaming video, and free learning and homework resources for all ages.
