The RCS Women's Basketball team won 36-29 against Triangle Math and Science Academy on Thursday night, snapping a seven-game skid and picking up their first win of the new year.
The Lady Bulldogs (5-18, 3-11) used a 14-point fourth quarter to cement the 22-16 lead they built after three.
Multiple RCS players stepped up on the scoresheet, as Kendall Dunevant, Dulce Garcia, Trinity Everette, and Tori Bailey all scored. Although Michayaj Jay missed all four of her free throw attempts, she factored into the win as an aggressive force down low, grabbing several rebounds and recording multiple blocks.
Bailey led all scorers with 23 points, including a 10-point third quarter. Everette drained two fourth-quarter threes, Garcia scored three points, and Dunevant hit a second quarter bucket.
The Lady Bulldogs now turn their attention to tonight's game against Henderson Collegiate (9-11, 9-6). Tip-off is at 6 p.m.
