Person High School will host its third annual Military Ball on March 9 at the Homestead Steakhouse. Senior cadets are honored and highlighted during this ceremony, as they are graduating and going into the next part of their lives.
The Military Ball gives senior cadets the opportunity to give speeches on how JROTC has changed them for the better. Cadets also talk about what they want to do when they graduate from Person High school.
JROTC instructor Belissa Anthony heads this ball. Her expectations are for the cadets to get the recognition they deserve, show the community what events the cadets have participated in, to honor the soldiers who have died, been captured, or who are missing at the “Fallen Soldiers table.” She also wants everyone to have fun and dance.
The JROTC ball is $20 a ticket, and the theme for the Military Ball will be red and gold.
