TIMBERLAKE — James Carlton Lynch, 86, of Timberlake, died Wednesday, September 2, 2020. Born in Orange County, he was the son of the late W.J. “Bill” Lynch and Nellie Ellington Lynch. Mr. Lynch served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post 2058. Mr. Lynch was the former owner and operator of Roxboro Amaco and G.O. Lynch Trucking.
Surviving are his two sons: Wendell Trent Lynch and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Lynch of Louisburg and Kerlin Mitchel Lynch of Fort Collins, Colo.; three brothers: William “Billy” Lynch of Wilmington, Kenneth Lynch of Graham and Tommy Lynch of Roxboro; one sister, Patsy Lynch Holbrook of Rougemont; two grandchildren: Kieranne Lynch and Lexie Lynch.
Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020 at Person Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. John Pritchard officiating.
