Start your child on the path to reading at Person County Public Library with Baby and Preschool Storytime starting Sept. 12.
Join Amanda Weaver, Youth Services Librarian, for storytime on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. for Babies 6 months to 2 years old and 10:30 a.m. for preschoolers ages 3-5.
In Baby Storytime, little ones will enjoy short stories, rhymes, finger plays, and songs.
This storytime lasts about 20 minutes, followed by bubbles and constructive play.
Each month children will explore one learning concept with activities parents can do at home with their baby.
At ABC to READ Preschool Storytime children explore a letter of the alphabet each week, starting with “A is for Alligators.”
Children can fall in love with reading through fantastic stories, rhymes, songs, crafts and play. This literacy program lasts about 45 minutes including craft time.
Let’s get curious at the Library with Curious George on Sept. 25-26 at 10:30 am for preschoolers. At 4 p.m. on Sept. 25 participants can journey in to different animal habitats with Curious George. This program is great for children ages 6 and up. Parents should bring their cameras for great photo opportunities.
