Harold Winfred Walker Sr.


ROUGEMONT — Harold Winfred Walker Sr., 81, passed away Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at Duke Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Mr. Walker was born Aug. 3, 1939 to the late Marvin Colon Walker and Rosa Belle Walker.
A lifelong resident of Orange County, he was well known in the automotive business in Hillsborough where he sold cars for many years at Don Lacefield Chevrolet before his retirement. He enjoyed bluegrass music, farming, fishing and entertaining family and friends. His annual “Ham and Egger” party hosted by he and his wife was a much-anticipated event for many years.
Mr. Walker is survived by his children Cindy Ciociola and Harold Winfred Walker Jr.; grandchildren Brad Ciociola, Amanda Martin, Jennifer Lee, Katherine Moore, Abigail Walker, Zoe Riggins and Asa Riggins; great grandchildren Harper Lee, Tristan Jones, Carden Ciociola and Adalynn Ciociola; sisters Gayle Walker Long, Ann Walker Glenn and Bonnie Carol Walker; brother Marvin Wayne Walker as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he cared deeply for.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his wife Doris Parker Walker and sister, Katie Sue Walker. A memorial service will be held for family and friends at a later date.
