Virginia Grae “Ginger” Gibson and Willis Blake Calhoun both of Raleigh, NC were married at five o’clock in the afternoon Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Taverna Agora, Raleigh, NC. The Rev. Sean O. Allen officiated.
The bride is the daughter of William Martel and Anne Gibson of Roxboro, NC.
The bridegroom is the son of William and Bonnie Calhoun of Waynesville, NC and grandson of Mary Rose Willis of Evansville, IN.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Candace Gibson, cousin of the bride, of Washington, DC.
The Best man was Steve Hayden of Raleigh, NC, friend of the groom.
The bride graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and from NC Central University with a master’s degree in Family & Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Nutrition. She is employed with UNC Physicians Network as Supervisor of Nutrition Services.
The groom graduated from NC State University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. He is employed with Red Hat as a Project Manager.
After a honeymoon in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the couple will reside in Raleigh, NC.
