Gail Davis Crabtree, 70, of 823 McGhee’s Mill Road, Roxboro, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Born in Person County, Mrs. Crabtree was the daughter of the late Irvin Davis Sr. and Shirley Carver Davis, who survives. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sherry Wesley.
Mrs. Crabtree was the owner of Crab’s Place. She loved gardening and animals especially Bamm-Bamm and Pebbles.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Crabtree is survived by her husband, Steven Wayne Crabtree; three children, Lisa Davis and husband Don of Leasburg, Ricky Crabtree and wife Christie and Chris Crabtree and wife Melissa, all of Roxboro; two brothers, Irvin Davis Jr. and wife Lisa, of Roxboro, Greg Oldham and wife Angie, of Moore County; three sisters, Gloria Briggs, of Roxboro, Tammy Chambers and husband Robert, of Timberlake and Pam Bailey and husband J.C., of Roxboro; seven grandchildren, Melissa Long, Ricky Crabtree Jr., Chrislynn Crabtree, Lillie Davis, Steven Crabtree, Christopher Crabtree and Justin Crabtree; four great-grandchildren, Ruby Mae Crabtree, Kayla Long, Kayden Long and Kalen Long.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. Herbert Brown. Burial will follow in Person Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday at the Brooks & White Funeral Home and at other times at Crab’s Place.
Due to the Executive Order regarding the COVID-19, the attendance will be limited to 100 people.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Clayton, Rock Lupton, Rodney Clayton, Buddy Hamlett, Larry Clayton, Don Clayton and Charles Strange.
