Freddie Norman Strader


Freddie Norman Strader, 73, of 530 Long’s Store Road, Roxboro, died Saturday, April 13, 2019. Born in Alamance County, Mr. Strader was the son of the late Capus Norman and Virginia Ann Tanksley Strader. Mr. Strader retired from Piedmont Maintenance Service and was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Virgie Strader Bray and Judy Strader.

Mr. Strader is survived by four children, Kimberly Strader Bowes, of Semora, Kenneth Norman Strader, of Roxboro, Keith Allen Strader, of Danville, Va. and Amanda Strader Silves, of Eden; two sisters, Dora Strader Piercy, of Providence and Rebecca Strader Shepherd, of Pelham; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, at Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. David Bunch and the Rev. Kyle Preskitt. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove United Methodist Church cemetery in Pelham. Visitation will be held from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Brooks & White Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Pallbearers will be Robert Bowes, Jr., Caleb Rogers, Tommy Montague, Keith Strader, Mike Dodson and Bill Shepherd.
