Florence “Deanie” Duncan Wrenn, 87, of Roxboro, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019. Born in Person County, she was the daughter of the late George Graham Duncan and Nannie Clayton Duncan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Bernice Wrenn; her brothers, Graham, Bruce, Marshall, and Curtis “Sonny” Duncan; her sisters, Carrie Clayton, Ruth Wilkins, Thelma Oakley, Elizabeth Brooks, Bessie Jordan and Kathleen “Lena” Ellis, who died shortly after Mrs. Wrenn. She retired from Person Memorial Hospital as a nurse’s assistant after more than 25 years of employment. Deanie enjoyed quilting, making jelly and watching NASCAR races.
Surviving are nieces, Michelle Clayton and Fran Clayton; nephew, Marshall “Mark” Duncan Jr. and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Along with her sister, Mrs. Wrenn’s visitation will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Brooks & White Chapel.
