ROUGEMONT — Emily Taylor Chambers, 73, of Rougemont died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018. She was born in Person County to the late Charlie Lee Taylor and Josephine King Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Linda Gray Taylor. Mrs. Chambers was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and Bethany Baptist Church.
Surviving are two brothers, Harvey Taylor, of Rougemont and Lannie Taylor (Nita); one sister, Mary Jenkins (Bernice), of Sneads Ferry; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018 at Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeremy Quist and the Rev. Billy Lynch officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Richard Ellis, Barry Ashley, Tommy Oakley, John Oakley, Jimmy Glenn, and Ray Brooks.
