Edward Glenn Anderson, 83, of 72 Henderson Road, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018. Born in Person County, he was the son of the late Jesse Edward Anderson and Janie Hall Anderson. He was a building contractor and President of Jesse Anderson and Son Construction Company. Mr. Anderson was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean War. He was a former member of Front Street Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and choir member. Mr. Anderson was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and brother-in-law.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine H. Anderson of the home; two children: Tammy Anderson Walker (Blanks) and Gary Glenn Anderson (Lisa), all of Greenville; one sister, Cheryl Anderson Pegram (Randy); four grandchildren: Grayson Blanks Walker, Lara Taylor Smith, Alexis “Lexi” Brook Anderson, and Jesse Garrett Anderson; and two great-grandchildren, Landon Blake Moody and Brady Aaron Smith.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Brooks & White Chapel with the Rev. Dennis McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Person Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Chris Howerton, Brent Howerton, Ronnie “Skeeter” Bowes, Justin Harris, Derrick Harris, and Mike Pegram.
Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation to all the healthcare professionals and the VA Hospital for the compassionate care that was provided for Glenn during his illness.
