Durham man faces multiple charges in kidnapping

A Durham man is facing multiple charges in a reported kidnapping, according to the Roxboro Police Department.

Antonio Trejo, 22, Ross Road, 11B, Durham, was charged with one count of kidnapping, one count of statutory rape and one count of resisting officers.

When police responded to Woody Street Monday morning, they located the Trejo’s vehicle leaving the area.

Officers allegedly found the juvenile victim in the car with Trejo.

During the investigation, officers determined an alleged sex offense occurred.

Trejo is being held in the Person County Jail under $2,000 bond for the resist, delay or obstruct charge and $30,000 bond for the kidnapping and statutory rape charges.

Trejo was also cited for hit and run after allegedly striking a light pole while trying to flee the area.

Roxboro man arrested on prostitution charges

A Roxboro man was taken into custody last Thursday on prostitution charges last Thursday, according to the Roxboro Police Department.

After an investigation, Thomas Adler, 32, 617 Doug St., was arrested on three counts of solicitation of a minor for prostitution.

He was being held in the Person County Jail under a $30,000 bond but made bond on the same day he was charged.

This case is pending further investigation.

Handgun stolen

Friday morning a Person County Sheriff’s deputy responded to reports of a stolen handgun at Medlin Mountain Road in Rougemont.

The victim told the deputy that someone had taken the gun out of its case and placed it with another case to make it appear as if something was in it.

This investigation is ongoing.

Break-in reported

Roxboro police responded to a reported break-in last Monday morning on North Madison Boulevard.

The victim told police that someone entered his room and took his Xbox One.

Police say the victim was unable to provide any suspect information.

This incident is pending further investigation.

Drug charges leveled after car crash

Sunday evening law enforcement officers responded to a car wreck on 4811 Denny’s Store Road, according to the Person County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver, Julian Boyes, 21, 330 Terry Road, Hurdle Mills, was out of the vehicle and trying to stuff something in his pants.

According to the report, officers discovered a large plastic bag with several bundles of heroin in it along with a marijuana pipe.

After Boyes was discharged he was charged with one count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and distribute, two counts of trafficking in heroin and one count of maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or other place for the use, storage or sale of a controlled substance.

He is being held in the Person County Jail under $100,000 bond.
