The following reports were released Thursday.

Roxboro Police Department

Monday, Nov. 11

1:15 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of an assault inflicting serious injury and injury to personal property on North Madison Boulevard.

Tuesday, Nov. 12

2:41 a.m. - Officers responded to a report of a breaking and entering and vandalism on Kerr Drive.

9:26 a.m. - John Calvin Tapp, 30, of 711 Leasburg Road, Apt. 10, Roxboro, was charged with misdemeanor simple possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Tapp was placed under a $3,000 unsecured bond and released.

1:28 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of obtaining property by false pretenses on South Lamar Street.

9:49 p.m. - Nakita Lanette Harris, 41, of 921 Patton Circle, Henderson, was charged with misdemeanor simple drug possession. Harris was placed under a $1,000 unsecured bond and released.

Wednesday, Nov. 13

8:37 a.m. - Debra Ann Smith, 62, of 215 Clayton Ave., Roxboro, was charged with misdemeanor communicating threats.

8:53 a.m. - Alfred Charles Weakland, 65, of 319 Burch Ave., Roxboro, was charged with misdemeanor assault.

9:29 a.m. - Rickey Lee Mauer, 58, of 212 Depot St., Roxboro, was charged with misdemeanor failure to appear. Mauer was held under a $500 secured bond.

5:04 p.m. - Derrick Lavon Washington, 26, of 308 Burch Ave., Roxboro, was charged with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor communicating threats, misdemeanor breaking and or entering and misdemeanor assault on a female. Washington was held under a $1,500 secured bond.

11:56 p.m. - Walter Allen Smith, 36, of 837 Lyle St., Roxboro, was charged with misdemeanor failure to appear for offenses in Wilkes County. Smith was held under a $2,500 secured bond.

Tuesday, Nov. 12

5:05 p.m. - Eugene Woods Jr., 29, of 242 Mill Creek Road, Roxboro, was charged with misdemeanor failure to appear. Woods was given a $1,000 unsecured bond and released.

9:56 p.m. - Justis Lee Williams, 25, of 1260 Paynes Tavern Road, Roxboro, was charged with DWI.

Wednesday, Nov. 13

7:53 a.m. - Rodney Craig Johnson, 41, of 147 Hunters Edge Drive, Timberlake, was charged with misdemeanor failure to appear. Johnson was held under a $2,000 secured bond.

11 a.m. - Deputies responded to a report of bad checks on Moriah Road in Timberlake. The victim reported that old checks had been written over and passed at their store.

1:01 p.m. - Deputies responded to a report of a theft from a building on Kiser Martin Road in Timberlake. The victim reported a chainsaw had been stolen the business where they work.

Thursday, Nov. 14

10:24 a.m. - Derek Lee Jason Gaster, 25, of 4358 Allensville Road, Roxboro, was charged with seven counts of felony counterfeiting and one count of misdemeanor theft from a building. Gaster was held under a $20,000 secured bond.

10:41 a.m. - Deputies responded to a report of a larceny from a construction site on Helena-Moriah Road in Timberlake. The victim reported that various electrical wiring and copper piping had been stolen from a house under construction.

12:26 p.m. - Deputies responded to a report of breaking and entering and larceny on Adas Way in Hurdle Mills. The victim reported that someone had broken into a home they were watching while the owners were out of town and stole a laptop and computer bag.
