Clement Baptist Church’s Drama Ministry will present Man Under Her Bed at 6 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 11 at the church.
Clayton Hill is an escaped convict who cherishes his freedom. Mabel Pulver is a strong-willed, elderly lady who cherishes her independence above all. And no down-on-his-luck, on-the-run convict is going to make her call for help, which is the first step to a nursing home. Thrown together, this odd couple creates a laugh riot, especially when Mrs. Pulver tries to hide the fact that she’s keeping a man in her house. Will Mrs. Pulver’s friends and neighbors discover her secret? Will Clayton Hill find out what true freedom really means? Find out at Clement’s Summer Theater production of Man Under her Bed, written by Agnes Wolfe and produced by special arrangement with Eldridge Publishing.
There is no admission fee, but donations will be accepted for the Beulah Baptist Association’s “Stephen Pleasant Missions Offering.” Stephen Pleasant was the founder of Clement Baptist church in 1830, and banded together local mission-minded Baptist churches to form the Beulah Baptist Association. The offering named for him helps fund the Association’s local, national, and international mission partnerships.
A time of food and fellowship will follow the program. Clement Baptist Church is located at 8480 Burlington Road in the Bushy Fork Community. For more information call 336-599-7032.
