BLANCH— Bonnie Shepard Thompson, 68, of 3688 NC HWY 62N, Blanch, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. Born in Person County, Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of the late Leroy and Louise Coates Shepard. Mrs. Thompson retired from the Piedmont Triad Visitor Center. She was a loving wife and mother and really loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Long Thompson, Sr.; three children, Thomas Blair Thompson and wife Claire, of Reidsville, Karen T. Parker and husband Parrish, of Burlington and William Long Thompson, Jr. and wife Nancy, of Blanch; one brother, Ronnie Shepard and wife Judy, of Roxboro; one sister, Beverly Shepard, of Roxboro; nine grandchildren, Gabriel Logan Parker, Mara Elizabeth Parker, Caleb Jordan Thompson, Isabella Grace Thompson, Jacob Alexander Thompson, Brandon Thomas Thompson, Nathaniel Brayden Thompson, James Lawrence Thompson and Savannah Ornt Williams.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at Red House Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Dr. Kathryn Summers and Rev. Cecil Coates.
