Art Guild displays new exhibit in the Kirby Gallery

The Person County Recreation, Arts and Parks Department, the Person County Arts Council and Piedmont Community College would like to announce that the Kirby Gallery of the Kirby Cultural Arts Complex in Roxboro will be featuring artwork by Art Guild of Person County for the month of December. The Art Guild theme for this exhibit is “Full Circle.”

The purpose of the Art Guild is to encourage, provide exhibition opportunities, give constructive criticism, and prompt discussion of the work of area artists and to promote the awareness and enjoyment of the visual arts in this community. The Art Guild of Person County is open to all artists 18 years of age and older. There are monthly meetings and paid members participate in a variety of showings. You do not have to be a resident of Person County to join. The Guild partners with Piedmont Community College, area schools, and others to present art demonstrations and workshops to educate interested people on a particular specialty, and to display their craft.

Chrystal Hardt, member of the Art Guild, asks you to come and let the art speak for itself. Included in this show are paintings, tapestry, marbled silk and photography.
